At Urgent Med, we understand that you may have questions about our services. We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions to provide you with the information you need. If you have a question that is not answered here, please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to assist you.

  • What insurance plans do you currently accept?
    Please be advised that we are contracted with insurance companies to collect a co-payment at the time of your visit. We file insurance as a courtesy to you; however, you are ultimately responsible for all medical charges. Aetna (all plans except Aetna HMO) Multiplan Blue Cross/Blue Shield OHN - Oklahoma Health Network Beech Street OSMA Coventry/CCN/First Health Pacificare Cigna (all) PHCS - Private Healthcare Systems HealthChoice PPO Next HealthSmart - Physician Direct PPO USA / GEHA Humana Military - Standard (not Prime) / PGPA / Tricare Medicare and Medicare PFFS United Healthcare Preferred Community Choice Sooner Care/Medicaid If your company does not appear, please don't assume we won't take your insurance. Call us and your insurance company to confirm.
  • Do you take Medicaid or Sooner Care?
    Yes. Our providers are credentialed with Oklahoma Medicaid/Sooner Care. We would be happy to see you and file the insurance for you.
  • How much does it cost to see the doctor? Do I have to pay before I see them?
    Copayment will be collected at the time of your visit. We will file all insurance claims and help with your policy. We will confirm your deductible amount and your out-of-pocket costs for service today. Self pay prices start at $100.00.
  • How long will it take?
    After you complete the registration process, our goal is to see you within 15 minutes. At times, the clinic is busier. We do have a process to call ahead to get on the schedule and a way to check in online.
  • Where are you located?
    We are located at 2004 N. Highway 81 in Duncan. This is next door to Applebees and across Highway 81 from Arbys.
  • What makes you different from other urgent cares?
    Experience - Our providers, at Urgent Med, have more than 120 years of combined experience treating patients. A vast majority of those hours have been spent treating the people of Stephens County for Urgent Care or Emergency needs. Experience makes a difference. Local - Urgent Med has been open in Duncan since 2005. Our ownership and many of our staff are from Stephens County. Stability - Almost all of our medical providers have been caring for your minor emergencies at Urgent Med for more than 7 years. This develops trust.
